I've installed the plugin from the Chrome store but the plugin button in the browser is grayed out and says 'Not connected' on hover. But jetbrains ultimate license is little more expensive but let you install any plug-in on it to get same functionality as webstom, phpstorm, or any you want, you just install support manually to any language, framework, etc and you manage all in one IDE. They also will not work in IntelliJ CE even with a license. I've tried to solve this for so long now. Well the toolbox is more like to manage updates of different jetbrains products. IntelliJ is $14.90/mo, $11.92/mo, $8.94/moĪnd I believe plugins made specifically for WebStorm require a license for WebStorm to be used in IntelliJ. The all products pack is $24.90/mo then $19.92/mo then $14.94/mo as the yearly discounts apply. Otherwise as others have mentioned the subscription is the way to go.Īs for which subscription to get on that note: That said, if you plan on only doing JS and not messing with other languages or dialects like Kotlin (WS handles TypeScript perfectly fine although IntelliJ has a few generic niceties that are missing in WS) then I’d say it’s worth it. They say that IntelliJ fully supports the WebStorm plugins but I’ve noticed a few are either out of date or have compatibility issues, particularly around linters. I’ve been using it less and less, only because they’ve made great progress in making the plugins that make WebStorm work fully compatible with IntelliJ.
